Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington appeals for £14,000 to keep services open

Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington has launched an emergency appeal to raise £14,000 by October 20 after warning that it could close by the end of October. The charity supports about 16,500 older people a year and delivers more than 900 meals each month to their homes. It says it is not giving up and is asking the community for help while it seeks longer-term funding.
Older people across Darlington and North Yorkshire rely on the charity for meals, day care, clubs and activities, as well as support at its café in Bradbury House, Darlington.
