Donnie’s beats Rusch’s in Colgate pub grub poll

Donovan’s Pub, known on campus as Donnie’s, took 221 of 340 votes, or 65 percent, in an Instagram poll run by The Colgate Maroon-News. The question put to students: when you crave pub grub, are you headed to Rusch’s or Donnie’s? Rusch’s Bar and Grill came second. Voters said Donnie’s was easier and more convenient, especially with its place in Colgate’s meal plan. Sophomore Poppy Marrano, a member of the Colgate dining committee, sided with Donnie’s, pointing to its accessible location and the familiar faces there.
The poll gives a read on where Colgate students go for a comforting meal, and the meal plan appears to weigh on the choice.
